Get Off of The Sideline of Life

When you want life to get better for you, you must start the process first. Sitting on your hands, waiting idly, and hoping and wishing gets you nowhere. As the Bible says, faith without works is dead.

God/Life/The Universe doesn’t move until you make a decision that you are ready for more. Until you decide to put in the work, you’re always going to be a benchwarmer. And who wants to be a benchwarmer in the game of their own life?

With the end of the year approaching, a lot of people are telling you to take it slow or finish the year strong and give it everything you have.

My advice is for you to finish the year in whatever way helps your life better. That could be resting, starting a new hobby, or putting the metal to the pedal and go.

Here’s the thing, your dreams do not have to work on society’s calendar. You can declare tomorrow as your new year and go from there. Do not wait until January 1 to start living your life. Start now!

Life is short, and it waits for no one. Instead of focusing on surviving, let’s start to live. Let’s start to do something little every day that makes us happy. Let’s do whatever it takes to live out our dreams.

This runt you’re in? You’re going to stay there until you decide enough is enough, and you’re tired of living like this. You’re going to finally go to therapy, revamp your resume, go back to school, hit the gym, post about your business, or start that book because you cannot fathom living another day like this.

Are you fed up with your life? Then make the change you know you need to make. You will be rewarded once you make the first step.

Yesterday, I had a conversation I had been dreading having for the last few days, but as soon as I walked away from the conversation, I had an interview offer for a job I applied for weeks ago.

I did the hard thing, and God immediately blessed me. Your breakthrough is on the other side of that hard thing. If you’re ready to be the franchise player in your game of life, you must put in the work and not take no for an answer. Show up every day for yourself, even if the results are little to none.

Remember that you don’t see a flower the same day you plant the seed. You have to have patience while you’re tending to your garden.
